Its team members have been handpicked based on our values – compassion, thoughtfulness, integrity & excellence – and everyone has undergone in-depth training.
Our team is led by Tobyn Dickinson, CEO, and Leah Moon, General Manager of Cayton View.
After a successful 15-year career in investment management, Tobyn moved into care in 2020 to pursue his passion for improving the lives of the elderly. This involved co-founding Elmfield Care, a luxury care home provider that commissioned two homes in Wiltshire. In 2022, he started Cromwell Care, another luxury care home provider that opened The Mayfield Care Home in Whitby in March 2023. Tobyn is passionate about building a talented, caring team that is aligned with Cayton View’s values and focused on providing the very best care and hospitality to our residents.
Leah started in care at 18 as a community care worker, progressing into residential care and continuing her journey through to management in a residential & dementia care setting. During that time, she gained extensive knowledge and qualifications that she has used in her management roles.

Jo is the first friendly face you see when entering Cayton View and is absolutely key to the running of the home. She was a Medical Secretary at the NHS for many years before joining the Cayton View team so has a huge amount of relevant experience. Outside work, Jo loves spending time with her family, her dogs, and roller dancing!
Tina started her career in care as a Support Worker in the community before moving to residential care. She is also a foster carer, supporting children through their teenage years. Outside of work Tina is dedicated to her family and 3 dogs, who she loves to spend quality time with.
Jenny started her career in care at 19 after caring for her grandfather. She has spent many years working in dementia care and with adults with learning disabilities, where she was promoted to management. Jenny is currently working towards her level 4 in health and social care leadership. Outside work, Jenny enjoys spending time withher family and dogs, and baking and crafting.
I have worked in care since the age of 18 and particularly enjoy working with residents who are living with dementia. I love spending time with myt family and going on holidays.

Steph has many years of housekeeping experience and always works to the highest standards. Steph prides herself on delivering a 5* service to both residents and staff. “I am very much enjoying leading the Housekeeping Team at Cayton View and making sure our residents’ rooms are always clean and tidy and our beautiful home is always well-presented!”
Gavin has worked in the ilitary for 24 years and for the council in facilities management, also a local retail bakery as an Health & Safety Manager and Auditor where he has gained his experience. Gavin spends time outside of work following Scarborough RUFC and spending all his spare time with his family and his grandson.
