The Role
You will play a key role in providing a high standard of care to our residents in accordance with their individually assessed needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Have Level 3 NVQ, or be willing to work towards it.
- Have experience of being a Senior Care Assistant, or Acting Senior Care Assistant looking for the next step.
- Be kind, warm and compassionate, with a can-do attitude.
- Supervise a team and keep calm under pressure.
- Have experience managing medication and be able to liaise with health professionals.
- Plan and prioritise workloads with an eye for detail.
- Handle enquiries, ‘show arounds’, visitors, and residents and relatives requests.
- Lead by example and energise colleagues to deliver exceptional care.
- Have excellent verbal/written communication skills.

The Role
We provide an exceptional, restaurant-quality dining experience to our residents and our Sous Chef is a key person in delivering this. You will work in partnership with the Head Chef and be involved in every aspect of kitchen management from planning the menus, ordering, and ensuring a top quality dining experience for our residents.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Be a highly experienced Sous Chef with a passion for cooking.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Be able to cook using fresh, seasonal food creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus.
- Build relationships with our residents and tailor the menu around their wants and needs.
- Understand how to prepare food with specific nutritional characteristics.
- Have a good understanding of hygiene, infection Control, HACCP, waste management, and COSHH.
- Have experience in planning menus, stock control, ordering, cleaning, and budgeting.
- Motivate and train a successful team.
- Have excellent verbal/written communication skills.

You will help our residents take part in the activities and lifestyle choices they have always enjoyed, or would like to try for the first time. Be that meeting family and friends, going to the bowls club, visiting the cinema, or enjoying a specific past-time like gardening, painting or singing.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Be bubbly, energetic and passionate about creating and organising exciting activities and events for our residents.
- Get to know our residents as individuals, finding out about their lives and what they enjoy. - - Complete life history books with them and share their memories.
- Put together tailored weekly activities plans and organise safe outings from Cayton View.
- Engage with residents’ friends and families and the local community.
- Produce a regular newsletter for residents’ families and friends.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
